New PC Gamer news

Ok i have just recieved the new issue of PC Gamer today (October issue, even though its still August :S), and there is about a three page issue on Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Portal and TF2, Im off to scotland for the bank holiday weekend so i waiting until i get going before i read it, but go out buy it. I breezed through it and there is some interesting points they have made that we haven't. Also the entire issue is awsome from breezing through it, cant wait to read it.

Apparently the new issue isn't out till september, So I'll have to wait for my copy to turn up in WHSmith

Well the screenshots they show are just images from the new trailers, they saw them about a month earlier than we all did. When i get back Ill post up anything new they have come up with for the benefit of those who dont have the issue. Im subscribed the PC Gamer so i get it a week before it comes out in the shops xD

I might get it, but I prefer PC Zone. Less prejiduce against someone for using consoles in comparison to PCGamer.

Ok im back, now for the new information.

They know practically everything we know about the new game, but they think 'injuring Alyx is Valve's way of getting here out of the way in Episode Two'.

Oh and according to PC Gamer, Episode 2 is still set to be released this winter however they think it could be put back again because there is a quote with it, "This is Valve, they release it when they're ready".

Well they get their info from Valve so when I trust PC Gamer I also trust Valve

The problem is that Leipzig happened a matter of days ago. The production time for a print magazine means that the PC Gamer article is weeks old. It is the older source of information.

Yeah good point, most likely didn't have the time to update the information, plus they did predict a put back anyway so...

Yesterday I bought the new PCGameplay (a Dutch magazine). There were a couple of minor new things in the Episode Two preview (I don’t know if it’s all true):

- Hunters usually hunt in groups of three
- When a Hunter spots an enemy, his antenna pops out of his head…
- The new Gravity Gun function, Valve talked about, isn’t the same thing as the Strider Busters.

Also the preview contains a couple of (very small) new screenshots (Kleiner in the missile silo and an Elite in front of some kind of bunker or mine) and a very nice concept art.

I'm not sure then. Magazines confuse me in the way they are published.

If the one I got from earlier this month (The one about Spore) is the Septemeber one then maybe your right.

Yeah the Spore one was the September one, i think its just the speed the publish their magazines or something, or when they hit the shelves.
