Note: IGN's following article contains some spoilers.
[br]
Inside IGN's new preview is a sneak peak at the first 30 minutes of gameplay from the single-player portion of Portal 2.

There's a few bits of content to read in the article. If you're worried about spoilers then I don't think IGN goes too deep into detail, but there is some enlightening information about where you wake up, how you wake up, and how the first set of puzzles are presented.
[br]
"Trapped in your room at the start, you're awakened long after the shiny and clinical cleanliness of the Aperture Science facility has rusted... It turns out you're a forgotten survivor, and your room is only one of many hanging in a Matrix-like storage facility where other test subjects were placed to await their trials."

IGN says that the sound design plays a huge role in the game. Characters do not talk during puzzle solving situations. That's kind of hard to imagine because Valve says they have about 13,000 lines of dialogue written for Portal 2. Half-Life 2 only has 2,500, and Left 4 Dead has 8,000. Also, what would the game be without smooth jazz? That's in, too. Oh, Jonathan Coulton has also confirmed that he's been working on some new material for Portal 2.
[br]
There's a new video to go with and some screenshots. You'll definitely find some new footage in there from both the single-player and co-op versions of the game.
[br]
[br]
And there's been an update about whether Portal 2 will feature cross-platform play between PC/Mac and PS3 owners; Press X or Die reports that sometime next week Valve will announce that cross-platform play will indeed be in the final product! Great news!
[br]
Portal 2 is slated for release across all platforms on April 20th for North America and Australia, and April 22nd for Europe.
