New Screenshots [Gamershell - NOT SCANS!!!]

We have sources To be honest, I e-mailed Mark Donald (Editor) and Craig Pearson (Staff Writer) this morning to see if they had given gamershell permission to post them and if we still needed to enforce rules on posting them.

I predicted in the first response to this thread that the link would get removed, AND.....well....."snip snip".....as they say.

Seriously, HL2.NET is NOT gonna get in trouble for linking to huge sites like gamershell or worthplaying. Sure, don't post the shots here and if gamershell are ordered to take down the shots, fine. But removing links to such mainstream sites is seriously futile almost to the point of absurdity. HL2.NET's strict policies have left the realm of common sense and become a pathological obsession.

At this rate, you're gonna have to censor just about every tech/game site on the internet to stem the flow. Restricting access on WIDELY available new HL2 info to the largest HL2 community on the internet is a losing battle guys. Lighten up.

You seem to be missing the point.

The Editor and Staff Writer of PC Gamer has contacted me stating that we aren't to distribute any screenshots in the form of scans or DVD or otherwise. We don't have permission and Gamershell or Worthplaying don't have permission.

What do you expect us to do? Go against them and do it anyway?

No offense to MODS, I think most of them are awesome...but I agree with DarkStar. I mean I would understand not putting them on the front page, or at most deleting them from the first post of a thread...but when you're so uptight that you so strictly censor mainstream gaming sites....I think you're taking it too far.

No bad intentions by my comment...I still support the MODs here regardless (they deserve it)....but I do have my opinions

PC Gamer are milking this magazine for as much as they can get, ofcourse they dont want the screenshots distributed. Not much they can do now though.
