new shader benchmark or test

new? hasn't shadermark been around for ages? or at least hardocp has been using shadermark numbers in their benchmarks for ages....

You are correct, this new update adds support for DX9 tests.

I'm off now to marvel at DX9 technology :)

droper: did you use my avatar as your background?

(i'm not accusing you of anything, just wondering...)

It doesn't look very good and the only reason I download benchmarks is because they look good.

I would be interested to see what the results of the benchmark are on nvidia, XGI and ATi products though.

Look closer and you see it isnt exactly the same view :)

Anyway, downloading to check it out... Looks pretty neat.

Btw, this is hardware, forgot to say that :)

And its not a very fun benchmark... Actually its quite ugly. Shader 14 was VERY odd on my machine though, most with 9700 Pro's (checked rage3d) got around 80-100 fps, I got 13 fps?! The rest of the shaders seem to be within reasonable figures. Just that got seriously fuxed.

yah, same here. I get the max fps for every one, but for shader 14. I love my 9600pro, with vsnyc on 20fps looks smooth in aquamark3, mmmmmm.
