i watched those earlier today, especially watch out for the scene with 'fat larry', it shows off the facial animation of source fantasticly.

yeah hes bee filming Doom....No, not a movie but what most people don't actually know, is that like the chicken which you could control on the internet, they actually have millions of people on mars all acting out Doom 3 for people who buy the game. Its quite amazing, and because they drafted non descript gaming people to do it, it saves a lot of money. Thats why Doom 3 took so long, its because they had to ship people out there and build the whole place.

bloodlines looks graphically terrible, and it looks like they ****ed up sources physics system, however the gameplay surrounding it is amazing.

The graphics look on par with HL2 for the most part..
 
downloaded, looks like its the same one from yahoo but with better quality and i think sound, even though ive seen it, i like the quality better . :)
 
Although it may not look as good as HL2, this game is going to kick ass in the gameplay department. I'm really looking forward to it now.
 
I'm not really into rpg's but I guess I'm gonna try out this one. Looks awesome. Nice download.
 
If it's anywhere near as good as Fallout we're in for a treat.

VALVe has probably tweaked the Source engine visuals. What Troika probably got was the basic source engine to do what they wanted with as far as visuals are concerned.

It doesn't look too bad, the indoor area's look almost on par with Half-Life 2, and the out door areas again look slightly less amazing than Half-Life 2's. Anyway, I couldn't be happier if they've decided to sacrifice visuals for game play. I mean look at DooM 3, best visuals in a video game ever, and some people are debating whether it's even the best FPS in 2004.

Game play > Visuals every time.

Shouldn't have to trade, a great game comes with both :hmph:

They need to work on the effects a lot, the models look okay, but the "potence" looks like ass, and the facial animations aren't too great (not on the gargoyle).
 
So what's the video? Is it in BINK format, or just really high quality video? My download will be finished soonish... I'll work on some Doom 3 maps in the meantime, yay.

It's not a "walkthrough", it's more of a look at the game. I've seen these before, but not "High Quality" :p
 
I never said it was. Did you quote my post by accident?

It's a guide the the game's features mostly. It's pretty cool but you have to realise that it's only in 640x480 resolution and it's not got a spectacularly high bit rate. In other words; this is not as good as the final game will look!
 
Yet to see anything of this game, bar the odd screenshot and interview/content-light preview. Can't help wondering how it'll turn out...
