New Steam Installers Avaliable

For those of you who are interested, the new installers (each including a specific game cache) are now avaliable at the official Steam site.

So far the installers are only avaliable at Fileplanet and Fileshack, but more will follow. :thumbs:

ok i just put a new thread about this, now why are there installers for everything if we have steam? i mean wut do the new installers give us that we dont have?

It gives people who don't have Steam an opportunity to install it with all the content, so it's faster and it doesn't clog up the content servers.

But it does clog up Fileplanet's servers.

Your lucky, my wait was 450 minutes. I havent even bothered figuring out how many hours that is

is there a download for NS?
cause thats something i'd like.. since most of my other games seem to be working fine..

No NS installer BUT you shouldn't really need it.

If you have HL working ok under steam simply install (or copy your current existing installation) under the SteamApps/<yourEmailhere>/Half Life directory and in theory, bob's your uncle.

NS should now appear under third party games.

Good news for all you Bit Torrent users. I've noticed that they now have Bit Torrent links for the installers for almost every game. At the moment only Deathmatch Classic and Ricochet don't have Bit Torrent links.

its not that i don't have NS as a third party game in the list..

its just that every time i try to connect to an NS server, it hangs for a bit, then gives me the "this game is currently not available" error and returns to the default main screen of Half Life.

any solutions for this?

i miss playing as ONOS and devouring some rines..
