New Steam Skin: Half-Life

hey its not that bright as it looks! just install it and ull see! the picture is hurting my eyes 2, but the skin does not....

Can steam skins do anything apart from change the colour?

It looks reasonable in that last screenie. I'll download it.

I'm still waiting for someone to make a Halflife2.net skin.

yes, could you do that actually, orange text on a black BG ?

teh orange one is nice but the rest of my theme is too dark for it :)

Orange text on a black background sounds cool but I'd have to see it.

I think dark dark halflife grey with orange text would be better..

Definately needs more organge.

On a side note, does anyone know where I can find a smiley that's having a seizure?

Would it be possible to get some kind of pattern? Maybe like a tiger or camo pattern instead of just a plain color.

No SDK, just edit the skins folder. Should be able to work it your yourself.

I think Sauerkrout was being sarcastic. The skin in my opinion is way too bright.

I'm gonna have steam-shaped holes in my retinas. :p

wow... changed the colors.. not very hard...

you can customize all the windows and make your own too, you know :)

It's also possible to edit the binary code, there are alot of possibilities... :) Is it possible to apply an alpha mask to change the shape of the windows?

Question: Why are there four number values (per colour) in the skin 'setup' file? Are the first three the RGB values, and the last one, err?

Thanks

Not easily (probably have to use a bit of programming (C++ probably).

You can move the buttons around, by editing various .res files. (havn't tried it though)
