New Steam Web APIs For TF2 Items + Odd TF2 Update

In another update from the TF2 blog we hear that the patchwork system used to supply web data for TF2 items has been replaced by new web APIs which will do the job much better.[br]

• Output can now be provided as JSON, XML, or VDF (Key Values)
• The current item schema is available as an API call, so you don't have to dig items_game.txt out of a patched client
• Much easier for us to add new APIs with the new system, so it should happen more often

More interestingly is the discovery of a new TF2 item - a Golden Wrench, seen here: 3rd row from bottom, 4th from the right.[br]Strangely using the wrench in game it turns enemies into solid gold statues when you kill them - see the video here. New gamemode potentially or just a new weapon?

Doctor is the medic if that is what you mean? He seems to be one of those pre-anaesthetic, tie down your patient with leather belts, butcher like surgeons.

Is Lincoln holding the flamethrower stuff? The blacksmith being the engineer? I can't tell from the pic :S

oh my shits you're right, LINCOLN HAS THE FLAMETHROWER. Edit: So it would seem Lincoln is the pyro and my aforementioned "blacksmith" fellow is the 1850s engineer. Those must be blueprints in his satchel.

Also I noticed that the Engy's grandfather built THREE life extender machines if you look at the last page. There are three dates: July 17th, 1894 - Built for Blutarch Mann; August 3rd, 1894 - Built for Redmond Mann; April 14th - ???? Built for ????. Could the announcer be the third? Considering how much "Emily the maidservant" looks like her and all. Or it's the hidden final party mentioned in Z. Mann's will.

Robin Walker gave a response to the people asking about female class alternatives and he said something about it being to taxing on peoples computers. I'm not exactly sure what it was, I could find it again if you would like, but the likelihood of seeing an alternate model of the current classes is highly unlikely. So save your spine for something else.
