New stream movies.

HL2 Media Video has been released. Only one per day or so. After E3 Videos are released, we will continue to release unreleased videos.

If I understand this right then we would have 1 new video per day after the e3 demo video is cleared.

Thats about 60 new movies/screenshots.

We should expect the first video to be out on the 22nd or the 23rd this month, which means next week.

I don't think they will release something new everyday. I bet they will give us 2-3 new videos and bunch of new screenshot, after that it is waiting time for a game itself.

No, one video from e3 per day - so 8 days. then they start to release un-released footage at a time of their choosing.

Also depending on how good steam did this time they might be releaseing 2 videos at a time.

All I can say is..

I can't belive what valve has done to steam..

I mean i remember version like.... .1 and it'd take 30 min to start 1 server... even to play it.... wow

They really have fixed it up

I agree. Valve are masters of promoting their product, easily manipulating the media, the hype and the loyal community quite possibly better than any other developer I can think of. There's no way they're giving away spoilers. There'll be loads we won't know even as we sit down with sweaty palms to play the finished product for the first time.

I reckon that when they get round to it they'll release some new stuff - some which'll show us stuff we've already seen in different settings (eg: Ant-Lions is the streets or whatever) and some really tantalising but REALLY limited and mildly confusing stuff that'll prompt another godawful influx of "What do you think such-and-such means? I think it means Gordon's the messiah..." type threads...
Personally I wanna see the re-vamped old aliens: bullsquids, tentacles, slaves. I think they'll show us things like that: stuff we've sort of already seen but it'll be nice to see them re-done and spangly. something to get our tongues wagging but not giving away too much.

i believe when they said one per day, they were talking about the E3 vids. they will be releasing those 1 per day. after those are done we may get scattered videos here and there until HL2

I would like to see more of the physhics.

Also I cannot wait to play the "hazard course" for Half life 2, I love tutorials and training levels.

Imagine training where it tells you how yo use the manipulator and you pick stuff up and you throw it against walls and it breaks (like in the demo with the strider) OMG I CAN'TWAIT !!

well when i saw that new gman vid i couldnt believe it. it was like watching them for the first time again. i didnt know how they could have made it better but they did. now i cant wait for the actual gameplay ones without that crap lighting and glare like in the E3 vids. i might just make a mess in my pants

and yeah, a hazard course for HL2 would be awesome

but i don't know...maybe i want my first experience with HL2 to be the beginning of the game...decisions decisions. I'll probably play the game for a few minutes, then save and play the training mission.

Hmm, actually, I thought there were 10 movies? Do you guys remember that one with the neat music in the background? It starts at that bridge by the water and then the next shot shows some kind of square with statues of some kind. And those scanners floating around...

That's just a compiled teaser movie, it has the really early footage in it.

Well, I say a few minutes... Maybe a few minutes more. Half an hour? Etc. etc.

can someone explain something to me .... okay one video per day. lots of videos over time. Are they going to take some off as they put others on, because if i have no videos and get on steam in a few weeks like many fans will the demand will be great either way.????? so whats the point of slow release exactly?
