Heheheh, I don't want it to look like I am defending the artist here because I understand what you mean. But actually look at gordon concepts. The back of his ENV suit its high high, also if you follow from his shoulder (not the metal) it lines up quite nicly. Although I do agree it could do with been about 2/3 units up and back.
 
am I the only one, who thinks that the feet are a bit big :cheese:

I think his head position is perfect...makes the suit look protective, like its supposed to. Wonder if we'll see any helmet variety as well?

Did you skip it and went on for SC2?
 
3.5 hasn't been skipped, Sniper is still hard at work trying to get it out the door; but obviously SC2's creation causes an explosion of development work, and thus I couldn't give you a release date myself...

It's just that me and my friend just love playing SC and we hoped 3.5 would be released at christmas/newyear.
 
Ye, well I made the renders my self and I just noticed theya re major diferences between the two. I think I was actually using an old model with the the up to date skin. I am a little unsure there but since its Gordon it took a lot of tweaking to perfection since he is such a well know character. Anyway, I have no doughts it will look perfect when its finished so all goes well :D

The media was actually a little rushed since we had to show something for the awards that we won. Soz.
 
Yup, neck looking short is due to the bulky suit covering it. Same with the feet.
 
IMO his collar needs some adjustment.
But more importaintly i think his head is too round.

Hm... i also think the suit is too bulky around his legs and feet.
Edit:... hmm not his whole legs tho... maybe it is only too fat around his shins/ankles.
Its hard to work with only pictures... so
I want to see the finished version :)

Those could use as a nice reference.....
 
is this just me.. or does the standard boxart with gordon on look like a model that valve made and edited for clarity and photo like quality..? and then for some reason didnt include the model in the final game.. there was even a spare folder for him, then theres another one with a blacked out mapped model of the old gordon.

I wanna see valves Gordon . with the hair alpha mapped in places and stuff, spot on propautions, and some facial gestures.. that ones still Nice though :)
 
Bah, Sorry. Im very slow on this "forum dance". Ive read it all, including the posts ive seen about gordon on other sites. Ive written all crits down. Well, atleast the one I see useable. And ofcourse the model will be tweeked by it. After all, its you who are going to play as, and with him. I would check the Sven Co-Op site in the near future, for some updates. (www.svencoop.com)
