Two new updates have been released for Team Fortress 2, whilst the first makes some changes to cp_egypt the second update sees some more changes for the character loadout menu which are there to support future features. You can find more details here.[br]If anyone has used this update, is there anything as interesting as the hats section that was added recently?

WTF Valve?! You can't use your normal weapons anymore while you still have unlockables. YOU HAVE TO ****ING DELETE THE UNLOCKABLES BEFORE IT WILL LET YOU USE YOUR NORMAL GUNS AGAIN!

That is so ridiuculous that I don't believe you.

// TF2 MMO
"TF_MMO_LFG" "Looking For Group"
"TF_MMO_Quest1" "You must kill %s1 %s2 to complete this quest."
"TF_MMO_Monster1" "Boars"
"TF_MMO_Monster2" "Rats"
"TF_MMO_Monster3" "Bats"
"TF_MMO_Monster4" "Wolves"
"TF_MMO_Monster5" "Spiders"

In the GCF files, Valve are playing tricks with us now :p

That has to be a joke. I'm sure Valve by now is aware of people who go looking into the GCF files for clues and hints on things to come.

We can only hope for a few stupid achievements next update...

No, they're definitely being completely serious.

Why would they add quests for killing spiders and rats? Seems silly to me and doesn't fit in with TF2 at all.

NO NO NO NO NO!

That is so not ****ing true. They are just messing with us ? Right? RIGHT ?
:O

EDIT:

This would have been a more appropriate response

Yeah, I agree, it seems like a really bad move on Valve's part. I think they should keep TF2 as an FPS, not an MMO/RPG. I'm kinda worried by that.

Oh le bloody sigh. If it isn't 1st April practical jokes are 100% unrecogniseable to some people.

Now I don't know who has reeled in who

I'm sorry, are some of you really worrying about Valve adding in bores and rats as quests... Seriously, come on...

This. We can be sure that Valve will throw in more interesting enemies as we level up.

Absolutely. We'll see where everyone's loyalties lie once the epic mounts start rolling in.

Wonder what feats I should go for, when the level grind begins? I sure hope there's enough quests, so we doesn't have to kill monsters only for the experience.

I hope there will be roleplaying servers up as well. I prefer socializing to hack'n slash roleplaying.

Which class will you level first?
I'll play sniper and get me a level 7 backplate and a level 3 third eye vs. the spies. Autotracking level 9 later, as I assume it won't be cheap and can only be bought at that engineer shop. And - of course - lvl 5 corner-shooting. You'll all have a hard time :D

Wait... why is Valve turning TF2 into a MMO?

Oh man, I will be so pumped when they introduce PvP - CTF in particular!

Does anyone know what level the soldier gets frag grenades at? I heard you can get 'em as early as 4 if you use your skills tree right. I'm definitly going to level up my medic. That virus syringe just sounds so awesome.

Yeah, you can get them at level 4, but it's not worth it -- it leaves you still at lvl1 Rocket Jumping and the base level crit chance. I hear that if you play your cards right you can attain the Rocket-Dragoon subclass by level 10.

So what level must I be before I can get the Level 2 Hadouken for Pyro???

Umm... I'm pretty sure that it's level thirteen, but I'm not 100% positive. Also, does anyone know what level we unlock transformations? I read somewhere that it's not until level 20+ or something, which seems a little absurd seeing as how the level cap is only level 25.

Well, transformation is going to be quite powerful, so lvl 20 seems somewhat reasonable to me.
I'm just curious if they will introduce tricycles as mounts, or if they go for rocking horses.

Did you guys know the Heavy can transform into a fish that deals 20 damage per minute when in water and die 20 times per minute on land?
