Well, I read through the update list and they really didn't do anything to the games but after the update today they don't seem to work anymore. I can only play Half-Life 2 for about 5 min. until I get an error saying something about a vertex buffer.
The games played fine all the time until this new update. I was playing and had HL2 gave me that error and I figured it was just a one time thing, but I went back in game and sure enough a few minutes later and I get the same error. I went to go play CS:S and I am able to play until a map change and then I get the same error as in HL2. I have also had CS:S just crash to the desktop once as well.
I think that it would be the update because they all played fine up until I restarted steam and it updated. I haven't changed anything on my computer, settings or drivers or anything like that so that shouldn't be the problem.
I have looked up this error and the closest thing that I could find said the problem would most likely be a bad game cache so I went through and did the little verify thing through steam and they all turned out good so....I am kind of stumped.
Oh well, I'll give it a day or so to see if it goes away, just though I would post here to see if anybody else has any ideas as to what I would do to fix it. I will also see if I cant get the exact name of the error as well.
