COOL,

We're also hoping to have some levels that really stretch the boundaries of physics. We have a good relationship with Aegea and what we feel is very good physics performance on PS3 and the possibility of putting the PhysX card to either match that or surpass that on PC. So we definitely are going to build some funky levels around are built around cool physics stuff. We haven't decided exactly what those are going to be quite yet so it'd be a bit premature to really comment on those yet.

Jeff Morris: And I would add that vehicles are something that we're thinking about emphasizing for the console versions. Steering with wassed on the PC is something that works but it's not as ideal as…

Mark Rein: Wassed? [laughs]

Jeff Morris: Yeah, yeah, WASD…

That made me say lol.

Not interested at all in this game. I don't like the UT gameplay. To arcadey and over the top for me.

whoa christ those wheels are hudge, It looks the super sechs. Hit and runs in that thing will be hella fun.

Yeah, saw this earlier... I expect nothing less from Epic than sheer brilliance. IGN still haven't fixed the sodding image links though - their incompetence shines through once again.

Unreal Tournament 2003 was perfect in every point of view. I hope UT2K7 is too and that physics play an very important role in the game and not just nice graphics.

If they'll add free Ageia PhysX cards to the retail game - I'm getting it. Otherwise, play lottery.

You actually say lol?

I really want this game, as any sane-minded gamer would, but I am worried about the fact that every game in the series so far has a lost a tiny bit of gameplay since the predecessor. And especially as games become more realistic and the stereotype dictates a loss of gameplay... etc.

I know what I'm getting at, even if none of you do.

Well I dunno, I mean, I loved UT, absolutely loved it. But I didn't really like UT2k3 at all, one of the great things about UT was that the weapons, while futuristic, all seemed like a bunch of crappy weapons thrown into a gladiator pit, and all the players, some of which didn't even have armor or even shirts also looked like they were thrown into a gladiator pit to battle it out... ut2003 lost that, all the players had these big expensive suits and equipment and crazy ass guns ( i hated the electricity sniper rifle) also the gameplay seemed to be slowed way way down. UT2004 was a bit better, just because the vehicles brought back some of that old UT, I especially loved the one that had two spikes come out of the sides of it to chop your enemies in half. Any way, hopefully 2007 will be good.

Wow that looks very noice, and I'm extremely happy to hear about the return to the FAST PACED style of the original UT. That was what captured my love for the series, and I was sad to see it leave me shortly in 2004.

I can't wait for this!!! I'll say it every time there's new media/info too. :D

The leviathan looks like sex for the eyes. It's so awesome!

Definately a must get, my 6800 is crying though, I probably will need to upgrade to get it to go fast at max graphics.

WTH? War of the worlds - UT style?

I saw those War Of The World monsters in some gameplay video of UT 2007 and the animations are just incredible :O

It's actually quite hard to belive that it can look that crisp and beautiful in a game :O

I loved Unreal II, but didn't play the others, because I was under the impression they didn't have single-player campaigns (like Quake III). Will this have a single-player storyline?

wow wow wow
can't wait to play this game
i have to improve my pc

No campaign as such. There will be a rough "rising yourself to gladiator status" single-player mode. But it's primarily a multiplayer game, just like Battlefield and Counter Strike.

Hmm.. The graphics look quite nice, and I like the vehicles. Maybe I'll fart around on it.

Holy ****!

The vehicles are actually bigger than the players now!

That Tripod looks suspiciously like the one from the new War of the Worlds. o.o'
No complaints though...
Even though the game certainly will NOT run on my current machine... I'll be looking forward to its release n_n

edit : Apparently the tripods are called 'Necris Darkwalkers'... and I found the video clip of it shown in action here! n_n

graphics look absolutley amazing, but I've always hated UT. It's too cartoony and you go far too fast, jump far too high and take way too many hits. It can be a fun excursion but I couldn't imagine playing it very long. Hopefully 2007 will be better, but if its not, then we can still all look forward to the gloriously beutiful UE3 games

I think the explosions look like crap tbh...
Graphics are still pretty though :)

I might get this, still not sure.

No panic! you'll still have to wait until March 2007 as it seems now :(
and you're right the explosions are not nice, are they in any game?

Actually, Halo has some pretty nice explosions.

Yah the explosions are kinda lame which sucks.....GRAW has some nice explosions.

You can't really judge explosions until you see them in motion, tbh.

i don't know what it is about the ut games, but i'll get one, play the hell out of it for a month, then lose interest.

i hope the same does not ocurr with ut2007

I've never cared for the UT series, what I like are the games based on UE2, and now a few on UE3, that get to use it's kickassery in a half decent, at least semi-realistic setting.

Well, explosions usually look better than some 2D animation playing in most games i play :p

Maybe it's a placeholder for now, we shall see.
