Right now I have a Radeon 9800 pro, long story short my Dad needs a new video card that can run EQ2 for the family computer so my little brother can play it. He will buy my card that I bought about 6 months ago for $200, I paid about $210 for it. I have enough money to get a $500 card if I have to(but I don't want to spend that much) so what should I get? I don't want to spend to much money but I want somthing better than my 9800 that will last me even longer and that will run Half-life 2 without flaws.

 x800 Pro Vivo; mod to 16 pipelines and overclock... throw in $25 cooling solution. You have yourself a $425 x800 XT or x800 XT P.E.

I don't like to OC anything. I can't find anywhere with the x800 xt in stock..any suggestions?

Yeah, the 6600GT gives you a little boost over the 9800 pro which also costs 199$. ;)
X800Pro and 6800GT are good choices too.
X800XT (Suggested price: 450$) if you want the best IMO.

BFG 6800 GT OCed is a very good choice. BFG overclocks it during the manufacturing process to a safe but better level so you don't have to. It performs well. Or, you could shell out more and get an x800 XT, or even a PE. Just remember, 6800 GT > x800 pro

That is what my brother has and it is a great card, I think I will get one.
