old news, but thx for info.

There are some who would consider that a spoiler, but yeh, looks cool

so, it doesn't get extra power from the citadel. . .

I have to agree it is a spoiler but well it isn't anything that you would gasp when finding out in the game

it's not going to spoil the experience, i just cant wait to lob my teamates into a strider

so we could pick living combine up and throw them at things? or is it for dead things(i know you said liveing things but just making sure)

Urhhm major spoiler!

Im guessing that is the thing seen in E3 2K3 demo ?, we dno how much truth is in his freinds 'statement' tho

I've had that conclusion for a while now, except I didn't think of the organic-able manipulator as a weapon, just as a demonstration tool.

It does.
Don't read the following unless you want to know more about the manipulator. Another spoiler is contained, and I have included tags.
EDIT:
This is how it works. When you reach the citadel, it becomes influenced by emissions from the citadel, I'm guessing.
If I may quote the guide:
"Should the Gravity Gun's flux capacitors become modified by Combine technology, both inoranic and organic materials can now be manipulated".
It becomes available in Chapter 13, benefactory

i wonder if you can pick soldiers up while still alive, and use them as barriers to stop the fire from hitting you.

From the guide:
"...or even use the flailing bodies of Combine foes as humanoid shields while you advance."
