scroll down to "Title: **Exclusive** Xbox 360 - MTV Sneak Preview"

I found it very boring, so ill list the key points made:

-PDZ (perfect dark: zero) has 22 weapons/ was playable alpha
-Body scanning (PDZ)
-Live(PDZ)
-PC functions
-DVD burning
-Tivo
-Xbox 360 = Universal media player..thats where 360 comes in.
-wireless controllers
-custom faceplates on system
-clan system type tracking in all live games
-RPG type game
-Medal of honor (more of a battlefield, multiplayer style)
-Ghost reacon 3 (new motion tracking type system)

this is all word of mouth still mind you, but these people came from the taping of the MTV special.

sounds like im getting one for the tivo and dvd burning alone. <3

what's a tivo?

records TV playback onto a harddrive.

SO if you set it to record the 5 oclock news, it will record it, and save it so you can watch it whenever youd like.

even if all that features are cool for a console, I find it as a proove that microsoft dont hav the talent to be succes in the videogames bussines

cuz look is a simple console just that it hav all that multimedia features

and the others companys are showing some inovation like the cell processor of PS3 or what ever revolutionary thing that the revolution will hav

and sure a especific system like a real dvd burner will be better

The Xbox started off very slow but now it's starting to get some seriously awesome games. I play it more then my PS2 and GameCube.

Dude, please tell me you saved it! It was taken down by Microsoft...

All that stuff sounds really cool though :D

I was reading the 13 page thread on this at TeamXbox (hot topics like these leaks have about a new page in a thread ever 2 minutes... honestly it's like a post every 10 seconds in one thread :P ).

They aren't sure if this is 100% credible, due to the fact the chick didn't sound like she knew what she was talking about.

I believe it. I mean Gamespy said the thing would include a camera and such, which would explain body scanning. Face plates (well duh, J Allard gave a huge speech about customizability at GDC for the keynote), but DVD burning? Little wierd, not sure what it could be used for (well Tivo functions... but only for that?)

5 Days away until this can all be confirmed.

hahaha now people are saying those girls were drunk or something

the things sounded legit.

oh well.

yea micro told them to take the file down, sorry i dont have a copy :X

Thanks for the link! :D

I got it off a Usenet group just a little while ago though :P

First of all, I don't think I can listen to the full half-hour due to quality and other issues :P Not sure what they were recording with, but man get them all new equipment. Also, what is up with the chick and Counter-Strike??? She's compared Counter-Strike to Perfect Dark Zero about 3-4 times! She must have been really drunk if she thought graphics were only as good as Counter-Strike... (She meant Source, or else we are in _big_ trouble ;) )

I'll just take the original posters word for everything in the interview ;)

Xbox360 is really amazing stuff... I really hope that Sony can live up to their Hype Machine.

One thing I'm curious about, is if Microsoft is going to do anything about the Next-Generation disc formats. It used to be that their was the war between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, but now they are in discussion on creating one next-generation format, so they don't make a HUGE split in the market/community. Right now the Xbox is still using DVD format if I remember right... Sony was using Blu-Ray, but now they are most likely going to be using that next-gen format. I hope M$ finds a way to get compatibility with the new format!

Wow, I love the specialization going on next-gen:

Nintendo with their super controller.
Microsoft with their media center.
Sony with their everything-sony-compatible chip.

Yay.

Didn't think this warrants its own thread.

But a live photo (including console, headset, controller, camera) of the Xbox360, Controller, and DVD Remote (which confirms it has DVR capabilities) are all on engadget!
