I was very confused but I like what I see.

Reminds me of Earthworm Jim, MDK and a slew of other weird games like that. If it turns out to be good, I'll definitely get this.

Looks amazing. Just the sort of game I want to see. Reminds me of something Tim Schafer would make.

I just wish the acting was a little better. From what we have seen it does not look very good, like when the main character passionately looks at his hand and says something like "You can't stick around I might hurt you too" and the cave woman just says "I know" with absolutely no emotion.
 
Looks like it's gonna suck. It may be original but I have a feeling it'll suck anyway.
 
The one thing I'm worried about is the first-person close-combat which hardly ever works that well or with that much depth. Only good example I can think of is Dark Messiah which was on the Source engine too, which is some hope.

Gameplay doesn't look particularly interesting, but I'm loving everything else.

Yeah, I was just thinking about Dark Messiah and the Crossing. DM was an especially good first-person-slasher and The Crossing is another Source title with a combat system that might turn out well- mostly because the DM team is involved, hah. Oh, and although Escape from Butcher Bay was a completely different engine it's a pretty damn good example of a first-person beat-'em-up... thing.

Setting strikes me as being halfway between Oddworld and Sacrifice, I like seeing fantasy that breaks from the norm. Looks like it's got the potential to turn out awesome.
 
Pretty much. You could also include Relic in with them.
 
Yes the acting looks like shit and the combat looks..ok, but dear god I hope it works out decently. We need more games that aren't:
zombie apocalypse
alien apocalypse
WWII shooter
modern shooter
medieval
star wars-esque.

FFS it seems today most games fit into one of these categories and thats about it.
OH this and tension which looks just ****in weird.
 
**** off, it looks cool as shit. It could suck, yeah. But it looks ****ing cool and original as balls right now, and to say otherwise is just being pessimistic for the sake of being pessimistic.

I don't know how the game will ultimately be, can't tell from the videos. But from the looks of it, the game play may be very repetitive. I'll still probably be pre-ordering this on Steam because of how very cheap this game is, that and I've been dying to play something different for once.
 
The voice acting looks...questionable as well. But yes we need something different than the usual FPS game. I wonder how close they worked with valve, if any playtesting was done with them..etc.
 
The voice acting is very questionable, but I like the voice/dialogue of the Fathermother.

I like how the main character looks, especially with that bizarre mustache/skull tattoo on his face, very clever design on that.
As for the girl, right now I am hating here immensely for some reason. I think it's the hair, annoys me, overly-cave woman cliche..
The concept art of her was better looking (although they are almost exactly the same)
