Newbie central?

Should a veteran central be started? Or am I crazy?

Why is it that Newbie's get a section and hardened veterans of the forums with hundreds of posts, like me (cough), don't get rewarded?

A veteran central should be started where only people with a certain number of posts can join. Not that I'd be allowed in but hey!!! it's something for people to work for and keep people interested in the forums.

Does anyone else think this is a good idea or am I crazy?
 
No...? lol I don't see the point in that section, this section basically does the job, there's still the regular posters who are "veterans" and a newbie might join in but how else are they supposed to become veterans if they can't join the convo/thread? :eek:
 
There should be no such thing as a veterans forum.

We just need to fine tune the rules and regulations a little...guys?? hey where's everybody gone???
 
Because a newbie's forum is for introductions.

With veterans there is no need introduction. People know everything about you. Pretty much. And they tend to have a definate opinion of you. <chuckles>
 
Yes, true, but the veterans forum should include privilages or something...

Eatbugs is crazy. Becides why would you want a veterans forum when your not even a veteran?

The whole point of a newb forum is to introduce yourself, say hello etc.

Theres no point for a veterans one. -you were all noobs once, if you didnt use the noob forum, you missed out :)

I say we lock all the noobs and the people that do not please the forum elders in there.
 
I'm kinda old, and I have to say, this is an odd idea that would most likely provide very, very odd results.

No, it's elitist and would cuase resentment and spam to get into the veteran forum.

Well for one you ain't a vet and two I don't see a point...it's just being elitist.

ppl already spam in order to increas their rank. you dont need more reason to spam.

Actually, on one forum I visit too, you pay a fee to get into certain forums, like stuff for 18+ year olds and more space to host pics, it would be nice if we could pay money get like our own sections for those who payed an maybe some space to host some images. Of course munro would be payed the moneh, though he would have to split it with the original mods to be fair :p
 
wat would be the point of that. there is really nothing that would be on that forum that isn't already posted here. and we have space to host pics. and even tho its small there is imageshack.us and other free sites that host pictures
 
Paying money to become a veteran wouldn't really make you a veteran......

And besides, who would pay?

I'd pay to get "ban credits", where I could use one and ban any one person :O
