Something about Portal 2 (like co-op)
You been living in a cave?

I do suspect that with it taking so long they must have realised they had too much story left to wrap up for one episode so it's either going to be an extra-long Ep3 or fully-fledged HL3.
Haha, you kidding? Like Valve was ever going to resolve everything in the episodes before HL3. Typical Valve wrap-up: immediate big bad is defeated (combine baby), short-lived celebration, G-man comes to whisk Gordon away to sleepytime. Simple as.

Minecraft on Steam doesn't really seem that significant.
It's not. Valve snatches up new indie titles for Steam every week.

New engine and EP3 to showcase it, Half-Life 3.

Steam on Linnucks, anyone? It'd surprise me, certainly.

Although trying to guess what would shock you is difficult, because if you're guessing it, it's unlikely to shock you.

I heard Steam for Linux (read somewhere too) was already in the making, so I don't know if I'd count that as one of the announcements. It's definitely not a secret, anyways.

Episode Three is also 'in the works'.

didnt valve recently say they aren't doing steam on linux?

Indeed. And I guarantee that wikipedia "linux" edit came from an excited linux user.

lol, crushed

Whatever engine is used I just hope it looks as good as Portal 2 ( the next Half-Life installment) which I'm sure it will.

Latest Source build negates the purpose of having a loading screen every 5 minutes

Actually a Valve produced RPG would be an achievement and a big surprise for me
