Playstation controllers have a very fun story.

When Nintendo put a joystick on their controller, Sony naturally copied them. When they put the analogue sticks on, they had a huge deadzone. (The area in which you can move the stick without it actually registering.) Sony, not wishing to be put laughed out of the console world before thay had barely started, insisted that they meant to do it. So, they had to keep it the same for the PS2. 'Tis quite funny... :)

I've always just gotten the Nintendo ones... no reed to change that. :P (I've still played others, only ever paid cash moneys for Nintendo though).

Very true. The analogue buttons are also crappy too. It's not a bad pad - just no way near as precise as the GC and XBox controllers (both in terms of analogue stick and buttons) The GC pad is uber comfy too :)

i've had playstation all my life and i don't like changes....so playstation 3

and besides i love gran turismo :)

I'm getting the Revolution, because it just sounds cool. And it's not like I'm going to not play any of Nintendo's first-party games.

The Xbox2 looks like it'll have some amazing hardware, so the games should get great performance. Hopefully the developers will use the console to its full potential, and not spend $20 million to make a game that simply looks really really good. Plus, there's Halo 3.

PlayStation 3 looks to be fairly crap. Same horrible controllers, and same mediocre software titles. I can get GTA on PC, thanks.

Sticking with my PC, since I've only just bought it and had to clean myself out in order to do so. Aside from HL2, one big reason for me getting a PC was that I've been hankering to play some decent RPGs for ages, and you just don't get them on consoles (apart from recently with Morrowind and a few others). The situation is even worse with FPS games. PC for me thanks (if I can ever get it running ok).

Just a shame I have to wait until 2010 for Baldur's Gate 3 :o

Yeah, but unlike the GTA ports, Halo actually got worse through the transition :p
