If you're a rabid fan of the series, the "Lost Frontier" title might sound familiar to you. Way back in 2006, Sony patented the moniker with the description of a "real-time online networked game," but it would appear that initial idea fell through. See, Lost Frontier on the PSP and PlayStation 2 is a strictly single-player affair that picks up shortly after Jak 3 while focusing on platforming, combat, and vehicles. Keira has set out on a spirit quest and the boys are trying to figure out what is behind the world' sudden eco shortage. The journey will take the trio to "the Brink" of the universe -- the very place the Precursors didn't get around to finishing -- so expect jagged rocks and cliffs that lead to nothingness

I loved Jak II so much.

I really need to play Jak III though, any good?
 
meh ive preferred ratchet and clank over this game. there was this one part in jak 2 that was really tedious and annoying.
 
I played Daxter on the PSP when it was released, it was crap.
 
The first Jak was great imho. I hope they can recapture that look/feel but with the requisite "next-gen" enhancements across the board to make this a viable kick-ass platformer.
 
I agree with VictimOfScience, the original game was awesome, both in gameplay and the way it looked. If they could go back to something like that, I would play it for sure.
 
I played Jak 3 but never finished it because of a difficult section i couldn't get through. animation was amazing though for a PS2 title and I'd give the new one a whirl. currently loving Resistance Retribution on my PSP.

Another question I have is, do we have console specific threads or are they all just random games and release news/pictures/video on games?? Like is there an Official PSP thread or Official Xbox 360 thread??

Just random game threads. Official console threads usually get squashed due to fanboyism. ;(
