Just wanted to spread the message... Nightwish is a cool rock/metal band, with AMAZINGLY good guitar solos. Funny combination as their lead singer sings like an opera singer... www.nightwish.com! - Crimson Tide or Deep blue sea as it's called is a must-hear track... Just wanted to let you guys know!
 
I listend to one song, and i dont like it. The opera singing thing messes it up real bad.
 
Well, pick up Crimson Tide/Deep Blue Sea - it's pure instrumental. I assure you that you will love it...
 
Yeah, I'm a big Nightwish fan. My favourite songs would have to be The Kinslayer, She is my Sin and Gothic Sanctuary.
 
I'm always surprised at how many people on this board love metal music. It's like the one type of music that I have absolutely no interest in.

I just noticed they have a chick in their band.
Don't get me wrong I love women but chicks and metal don't mix, imo.
 
I listened to a few song and I think the band sucks. Its just my opinion.
 
Many people think they're lame because of the singer sings opera-style, yet I kinda like that. "Passion And The Opera" for example, that song is smashing in my opinion.
My favorite Nightwish song is "Deep Silent Complete".

Long live Nightwish! :D

EDIT: Yeah, The Kinslayer is ok too...

Yeah, I like them too. But I don't listen that often to them anymore, well not since i've discovered trance :p

^^ obviously you've never heard any 70/80's metal bands otherwise you wouldn't have made this statement. Metal is not bands like Slipknot, Korn and Limp Bizkit, that's nu-metal.

As for NightWish, I had several of their songs on my computer @ one point, but they sounded like they should be a contestent on the Eurovision Song contest.
 
dragonforce is teh best! they're amazing. awesome songs and they're not too loud and yelly like some metal bands tend to be. hell I didn't even know I liked metal til I started listening to them :p. meh to nightwish :)

I've got 1.4gb

Most of it's off Cd's, I've got about 10 cd racks that hold 20 cd's and a whole pile of others.
 
I dreamt tonight that the singer of nightwish was doing a live show playback. She started singing with her back turn towards the audience until she caught up with the song.
I could see it because I sat at the drums and was shocked..
And the best part is: I don't even listen to nightwish at all!!
I feel really strange..

hahaha dragonforce kick arse! haha seen them 2 or 3 times :D at the underworld :D they play there all the time hehe.

nightwish are f00king classy i lover powermetal its so great, such talent. They are bloody good live as well saw them at bloodstock last year alog with dragonforce :p

When I saw this thread I realized I have two albums of Nightwish on my computer...and I didn't really like any of it.

But I already had Kinslayer and I like that song..
