Nihilanth in Half-Life 2

In the HL2 opening sequence, the only thing that comes close is the buzzing from the Test Chamber flashback. Sorry, no Nihilanth.

After the HL2 opening sequence, I noclipped over to the test chamber and pushed the cart in the beam!
[SARCASM]There was a resonance cascade, and I continued playing Half-Life:Source! For free![/SARCASM]
PS. I miss the gluon gun, despite it being useless due to rapid ammo depletion :(
It would have been nice to see one again even if it was not operated by you, for nostalgia.
Wonder what happened to the guy who built it? Died I suppose.

I am hoping to include it in a mod i am planning, its going to have a few adjustments though :D

I only ever used the gluon at the very end of the game, to drill the Nihilanth's brain. The ammo is too scarce. Still a wonderful weapon!

1.)14. He says this when you arrive at the Gonarch's lair. Gordon, however, does win. Was the Nihilanth wrong?
-I think he means in the long run-considering the Nihilanth is never wrong-I think he means Gordon could never win-however since he is dead, who knows?
2.)I have the soundtrack and I listened to track 28. He is right. Starting at about 55 seconds you can clearly hear Nihilanth speaking in the backround. I used an audio program to tune town everything else, and, indeed, Nihilanth says "Freeeemaaaan.." in the backround. Creepy.

and to all those saying we are stealing, technically its not stolen till its in the final product, its easy to get rid of something

well, I listen to that track again... but still.... nothing! only g-man speaking with some machine sound in the background.

I think that solves it then, nihalinth is not speaking in the background, its just some combine machinery making funny noises :)

Yes all you can hear is combine machinery, and the Beam. The "Gordon, Get away from the Beam" Beam.

If you can hear Nihilanth in that:
A. You've got better hearing than me
B. You're crazy :)
C. You've got the Nihilanth subliminal messages version of HL2.

PS is track 28 the intro music? I think I've got it mixed up with track 9 (same length).

So you thought the Collector's Edition was cool, but you instead went for something even better... the Steam Gold edition... but now, behold, something EVEN better - Half-Life 2: The Nihilanth Edition.

Brief Description: Only 5, 000 copies of this version will be made! Enjoy countless amounts of Nihilanth dialogue while playing the singleplayer missions. From the opening sequence, to the closing, the Nihilanth will talk to you all the way through. If you beat Half-Life 2: The Nihilanth Edition on all three difficulty levels, you will unlock a secret video clip that will show the interview with the voice actor of the Nihilanth.

"An amazing feature to the game!" - CNN

"Valve have done it again!" - The Gordon Magazine

Speaking of hearing things, whenever I use one of those wall-mounted healing devices, it makes a noise that sounds to me like:

"It's-heeealinnng-it's-heeealinnng-it's-heeealinnng-it's-heeealinnng"

Anyone else hear this?
