NIN - With Teeth era over, new beginning?

**** it, I LIKED With Teeth. The lyrics were good, it had a good beat, and it didn't have the filler crap that The Fragile seemed to have. Heck, I'd say after Downword Spiral and Pretty Hate Machine, it's my favorite album of his.

Anyone hear the live version of Hurt with David Bowie doing guest vocals?

No :( Link?

Also, I liked With_Teeth as well. Even a bit better than The Fragile right now, like you said Slacker.

*puts on flame suit*

Yeah, I have the whole concert. Its really cool. Theres also a more melody-based instrumental version of Eraser, and The Becoming played live. David Bowie also sings for Reptile. Its pretty cool concert.

PS I like downloading bootlegs of rare NIN songs played live, so if you want one of the following or a similar one, send me a PM
Mr Self Destruct
Heresy (The only time it ever played live)
Ruiner
The Downward Spiral
The Becoming
La Mer
Help Me I'm In Hell
Happiness In Slavery
Piggy - Nothing Can Stop Me Now remix (yep this one was actually played live)
Big Man With A Gun
etc

i was browsing the ETS forum and guess what link i found? the teaser to the With Teeth tour DVD! :D
2007 just cannot come fast enough :p

so who will definitely be getting it?
after having been to 3 shows in the past year or so, i'd say its a must have DVD...especially Trent includes the version of Closer they did during this summer tour and of course, the now famous La Mer/Into The Void combination.

I'm not entirely sure, can anyone confirm this?

i'll look it up tomorrow and let you know the setlists for both shows.
as for what definitely needs to be on the DVD...i thought the summer leg of the tour had quite a few awesome performances.
the one that comes to my mind right away is the performance of Closer...not just for the song, but the incredible, breath taking visual...i'd be sad if theres no official release of that.

Kouler those setlists are okay according to ETS and The Spiral.
the thing is, a few fans saw shows being recorded with DV cams which weren't mentioned by Trent over at The Spiral.

so um...maybe these other performances will make it onto the DVD as easter eggs or otherwise.
who knows really except that theres a DVD coming! :D

Well I can just about guarantee we'll get the new songs EDIETS, only, love is not enough, ect....plus the trio of Eraser, RWIB, and BSYIT. The new closer w/ only time breakdown is definitly going to be in. This dvd is going to be great...i can't friggin wait.

Hoping for Mr Self Destruct and Somewhat Damaged.

CANTKL SFJSDFUCING SFWAINT>A DLAKOZLOAIJDOWA LOLZOMG

an update on the new DVD info: the Spiral had members posting questions for Trent over at the message board since the chat had troubles and will be re-sheduled for later.

one of the most popular questions was/is, will the content vary from format to format..(IE, DVD - HD DVD - BluRay)

the answer:

Hoping for Mr Self Destruct and Somewhat Damaged.

CANTKL SFJSDFUCING SFWAINT>A DLAKOZLOAIJDOWA LOLZOMG

after seeing the March 6th London, Ontario show of this year i hear ya on Mr. Self Destruct...that song was off the wall for that particular show.
i feel even more strongly about seeing the summer tour version of Closer and La Mer/Into The Void.
hopefully these performances find their way via the secret preformances section as Trent is known to do this kinda stuff on albums and the AATCHB DVD.

some people are so hopeful that they want to see the Peter Murphy/TV On The Radio/Trent performances in the secret performances section.. hehe

edit: forgot to mention Trent was asked about a deluxe edition (deluexe edition is similar to the 10th Anniversery release of The Downward Spiral) version of The Fragile and if its in the works and his answer:

Trent Reznor over at The Spiral said:
I would like to do the fragile like that. No timetable yet, but I would imagine it could happen over next summer. Between now and then I know what I'm doing pretty much.

i hope he does go through with a deluxe edition of The Fragile.
would love to hear demos and tracks which did not make it onto the album.

as for why fans haven't see Closure on DVD? his response was "Pussycat Dolls > NiN" according to Interscope.

**** the Pussycat bitches :p

Ok....we need closure on DVD...its over a 2 year delay now, trent is worse than valve software with his delays

its not Trent.
all the content (including the 90 minute bonus footage) has all been done for a while now and was handed over to Interscope.
in that recent response it seems like Interscope is more focused on Black Eyed Peas and the Pussycat Dolls.

Trent has nothing to do with the Closure DVD being delayed for the last couple of years.

Closure isnt that good to be honest, quality is pretty bad in most of it, but still a cool thing to own for NIN fans.

hey some of you guys overseas might wanna check out the NiN Performance page as they have posted dates for some European shows starting February.

this is good news considering the band didn't spend alot of time touring the rest of the world and mostly just in Canada and the US.
if you're in the area, i definitely recommend checking them out because a Trent Reznor produced live show is worth every penny and second.

forgot to add something...

trent_reznor over at The Spiral said:
A couple of things...
This is the PLAN as of this moment.
The tour we just announced will continue after the announced dates.
This wave of touring is not me solo, it's the BAND. The band personnel will remain the same - Jeordie, Josh, Aaron and Allesandro.
The new record should drop in April.

so um...finally this thread is on topic :D
looks like the 2007 tour will be in support of a new album.

**** YES!
YES
YES
YES!

In UK on my Birthday!

Gotta get a fukin ticket for that shit!

btw, there a couple of more shows were added to the tour.

Wow. An album that isn't 5 years apart? Nice.

Lets not forget Beside You In Time, which is going to be amazing.

Yea BYIT is gonna be great, the only sad part is it probably won't have 'Piggy'...

that's probably my favorite song on WT.

also, i can't wait for the new album. what is that, only two years since the last?

My mate didn't get a ticket for the Birmingham gig :(

Anyone from here got a ticket for the Birmingham gig on the 4th?

your mate shoulda joined The Spiral :p
get access to Spiral tickets before the general public does and they aren't just normal tickets either... they are definitely something to frame afterwards.

btw, for the new shows added they are having an extended pre-sale for tickets, just in case you or your mate were interested :)

So, is it safe to say that the BYIT DVD will have also have an audio cd version?

So, is it safe to say that the BYIT DVD will have also have an audio cd version?

No, but you can bet your ass people will have a torrent up of it which will have the concert in mp3 format.
