NIN - With Teeth era over, new beginning?

Im just starting to get into nine inch nails stuff; ive heard tracks like star****ers inc,the wretched,head like a whole, closer, the hand that feeds and you know what you are. All good stuff.
My question is what would you lot recommend as the first NIN album to buy?

hehe you're all over the place when it comes to sampling NiN albums
if you loved The Wretched and Star****ers.INC, then maybe The Fragile should be your first NiN album since both songs are from that album.

personally, i think The Fragile is Trent's best piece of work although sales numbers and billboard charts won't show you that because concept albums usually aren't about $$$ and definitely not about pleasing the mainstram audience.

if you want another concept album, then The Downward Spiral is what you want but as a Nails fan, i am obligated to tell you to get the others as well, Pretty Hate Machine, Broken (the covers on this album are priceless!) and With Teeth.
of course theres also the remix albums but i'd worry about the main stuff first

if you want more info on the albums, feel free to ask me as i have them all and most of the remixes too.

I was one of the few who started off with Downward Spiral lol

That was really good.

The image creeps me out though.

[edit] The only part I didn't like was how the piano outro for Closer didn't quite seem to match up with the Beatles song.
