I agree. NG was one of my favorite games on the xbox and I still play it to this day. i can't wait for 2.

Seriously though, I am just over this sort of action title. DMC4 did absolutely nothing for me and this is the same type of thing. It is strange though because I love God of War and cannot wait for the third proper title to come out. Maybe it is the story that keeps me interested? I dunno. This looks pretty slick though if that helps.

It might be price too and it is hard for me to justify a $60 purchase for an 8 hour action game. Heavenly Sword is a good example of this--it was utterly beautiful, but so short it was not really worth the $60 price tag sadly.

Let's not compare this to Heavenly Sword and God of War. Heavenly Sword is a short button masher and God of War is arcade with training wheels. Ninja Gaiden is a ruthlessly challenging arcade style fighter. It's all about reactions and timing - you know, that stuff we used to need to complete games in the olden days

That's one thing i've always given props to gaiden for,

the straight up hardcore "screw casual players' aditude of the olden days.

Good game, but yes, it was an odd experience for me at first. It is pretty hardcore, but all the better for it. I'm guessing this game will up the ante, by the look of the screenshots.
