ok, I got a job for a week, and out of the whole week I'll probably get about $130-$150. I would get F.E.A.R but I'll have to play it on the lowest graphics (I got a crappy video card, I have to play Battlefield 2 on lowest graphics, thats how crappy my card is), so should I pay $70 for F.E.A.R with crud graphics, or pay 130$ for a Nintendo DS with Kirby: Canvas Curse?

DS... and I'm not even a fan. I own one, and I can say without playing fear that i'd rather have the ds.

DS all the way.

FEAR on a bad machine is very bad.

With the DS you get a nice handheld system with a game included I see, plus the ability to play more games for it.

And you know you could get a 9800pro in that price range?

BTW I have a DS and played FEAR.

The DS. FEAR is SUPER machine-intensive, and it looks like utter crap without some very harsh options enabled.

Hey, if I spend that money on a graphics card, I won't have any money to buy neither :\ . I'm getting a graphics card around Christmas. Use Your Noodle!

Use my what!?

Maybe you should become a prostitute to make money and use your noodle!

Whats your cpu(didn't see it in sig).
If you do get to much of a better gfx card it may just be a bottleneck.

DS. Lots of good games are starting to come out for it.

Get a DS! With games like

Metroid Hunters (with online)
Animal Crossing (With online)
Mario Kart (With online)
StarCraft DS
Age Of Empires DS
Super Mario Bros. (New 2D Classic Style Mario)
Smash Brothers DS (With online)
ETC!

It's an easy choice in my opinion.

I'd go with the DS :) F.E.A.R. Isn't that special... I found the demo boring, actually. Of course, there's always the "save money" option :)

I think a ds is better choice cuz you can play more games

DS: Electroplankton, Nintendogs, Uh... some random crazy Japanese game... uh... Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!

Aye, a DS :) (FEAR wasn't all that, at least the demo anyway, even on a decent pc)

It's a great machine with many decent games available and even more on the way. It also provides gaming experiences that you can't get on any other format - for this alone it's worth the price tag.

I just bought a DS and love it. I didn't care for the Fear demo personally, but I can understand why some people enjoy it.

Is elecktroplankton released yet in the states?

DS + Daigasso Band Brothers.

Thats life right there.

Ok, Choice is a DS I guess, but I have a new question... Nintendo DS or Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for PS2?
The thing is, my paddle for PS2 is Craptacular, so If I buy SC:CT I'll Have to buy a new paddle also (20-30 dollars) so, now its $130 for DS or $100 For SC:CT w/ paddle?

Evenually (4-6 months) I'm going to buy both either way, but what to buy in the mean time?

i would go with splinter cell DS just sux balls and may i ask what is a paddle?

P.S.: i really like ur sound card lol is that new

Paddle, Controller, The thing that sticks out of your PS2, It's all the same...

Save more money and get a psp or get fear. A friend of mine loaned me his ds and splinter cell for it, one of the worst gaming experiences I have ever had.

I didn't say I was getting SC: CT for the DS, The game looks like complete crap, I'm getting Splinter Cell for the PS2

I still say go for the DS. Splinter Cell is so horrible on the PS2. Get a DS with Advance Wars, Nintendog's, or Kirby Canvas Curse.

How can you judge the DS by playing a shitty ass game like Splinter Cell on it.

again the ds
cuz splinter cell is just one game and whit the ds you can play more that one

i want FEAR...but all this talk about it being a power hungry game saddens me :(
my weak pc won't be able to run it...

/me sighs

And how can you deny Advance Wars: Dual Strike and Electroplankton?

I know someone asked, but noone answered yet... Is Electroplankton out in the USA yet!?

Edit: Did some Googling. One source says it comes out in November.

Advance wars looks like a peice of crap! Electroplankton.... thats just a wierd ass game

SCREW THE WHOLE THING!!!!

I'm just going to work an extra week and buy a controller, PS2 slim, And Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

I'm Going to buy a new PS2 because the one I have now Is SSSOOOOOOO dirty it literally takes about an hour to get a game to work, I got it when PS2 first came out, so thats why it's so crappy

After I'm finished with SC: CT I'll buy a DS, Or if I manage to save my money (Not likely with me, I spend EVERY cent I get) I'll Buy A PSP, Most Likely I'll Buy a DS instead Of PSP.

*Sigh* SC:CT on PS2 is god awful. Bad choice.

Haha, you created a thread, asking what you should do, then ignored the overwhelming majority and did exactly the opposite.

Woo for forums :D
