Apparently there will be a big announcement. Someone from Kotaku just saw the video intro and says:

"I managed to catch a glimpse at the intro for the keynote, you might want to sit down."

I'm betting new Zelda.

Wii Balance Board ownership is almost as high as PS3 ownership. WHATTT?!

Wii storage solution: 32 Gb SD cards. That's larger than my 360 HDD. Which is fine for me. It'll be able to store up to 240 VC games per card. Fine with me!

EDIT: And literally as they announced it, the new Wii v 4.0 was activated. You can go download it right now. Which will support increased sized SD cards.
 
New Final Fantasy games announced:

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As a Darklord sequel to the last WiiWare game.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years on WiiWare.

Also Final Fantasy coming to Virtual Console.
 
So even the old FF's are leaving Sony's doors again? Well, that sucks lol.
 
What about Metal Gear!? A new Metal Gear for Wii might make me reconsider getting the console.

Seemingly Arcade titles coming to Virtual Console. Space Harrier, Gaplus, Star Force, Solvalou, The Tower of Druaga, Mappy and more.

This also launches today!
 
New DS Zelda game!!

Same visuals and control scheme as Phantom Hourglass (a good thing) and it features Link driving a train with a cannon on it.

A new Pilot Wings perhaps? How about something new? (unlikely). A new DS Zelda is all good, but how about a proper flagship Zelda built just for the Wii?! That would be worth getting excited about.

It pisses me off - Nintendo show what they can do with Galaxy, which still impresses me more than anything else this gen, then don't give us anything else. Come on, where's the big ****ing Zelda game everyone's been waiting for? F-Zero?!? I'd settle for a new Wave Race, 1080, or Pikmin. Just give me something!

hpe-marketing bullshit. unless the announcement was that nintendo contact aliens there's nothing they could say that would make me want to sit down. no really the reported who wrote that should be beaten about the head with his quill

video game reporting still hasnt been elevated from tabloid style reporting ..actually it's worse because there's even less journalistic integrity in video game reporting
 
i may keep my Wii after all. i can afford my other bills now
 
For me to gain respect for the Wii it would need a lot more then 1 game announcement. ****ing thing is a joke right about now.

That was the comment from the Kotaku reporter after he saw the MGS logo on screen.

Turns out it was them setting up Kojima's speech tomorrow.

I agree with everything in here. I especially second the comment on Galaxy, which I've started playing again recently, and some of the gameplay concepts are just stunning and need to be more thoroughly pursued.

Also, I thought they already announced they were making a new pikmin a while back?

But we've had this dispute before and the conclusion is always you don't really have any reason to hate Nintendo other than other people liking them. There's really no point in entering nintendo threads just to remind us of that.

Oo, can't wait to pick that up. Interesting to see cel-shaded link in actual Hyrule.

Meanwhile, I believe the new Zelda for Wii will be announced at E3... that seems to be a tradition with Nintendo to do so.
