im moding my old nintendo into a new computer, and im just wondering, will a laptop hd work with a miroc atx mobo? also, if u have links to any mirco parts sellers, that woudl help a lot.

Interesting idea. Be careful of the airflow though. I don't think the NES is designed to properly cool multi-GHz processors and graphics cards.

Did you check newegg.com?

yes it will work with regular ide cables, but I believe you will need a converter from the connector on the laptop drive to sata or ATA

^^
definitely put in extra fans. Are you using a SNES or NES?

The processor used with it was like 600 or 800mhz, its not that hot for it but like blah said not meant for multi-ghz due to like no air flow.

nes, and im not putting in a major processor, just a 500mhx amd. nothing major. also, newegg's boarda are still to large, ill gett exact measuremnets in like a week

I know there's an actual company out there that sells PC's in an authentic NES case.. they're 1GHz P4s, IIRC. Not the best, but they were still pretty cool.

i will now use this thread as a report page, it may take until the end of the year to finish. thanks for the link

edit:

i cant find the mobo used in the link it is the EPIA 800

ok, here sna update: i have already removed all the circuts and have gotten rid of the supports.

y cant i edit it again? oh well, the mobo was made by a company called VIA the full mobo name is VIA EPIA 800
