Currently I have hl2.exe - steam -control for my shortcut to play the game.
I am wondering why everytime I go to load the game if I DO NOT change (delete -steam or -control each time I go to load the game) these settings that my A.I (nothing works, noone talks, no one shoots at me) does nothing. I can just jog around the map without nothing happening. I can shoot my gun and such but it isn't much of a game without A.I.
I am confused why I have to change these setting for my game to work properly before I load it. If I do delete -control this game then later on and add -control the A.I. will work fine. I just have to remember to do this step before I load the game or else it wont run properly.
What do I need to put after HL2.exe for this not to be a problem anymore? I hope this makes sense, I tried to explain it the best I could without rambling too long.

luckily for you i just made a patch for wierd AI problems go to
