No cd needed, no cd key?? what?

I just bought a sealed copy of half life 2 off ebay, only it was in russian.

It decoded over to english when i installed it, but it NEVER asked for a cd key. Also, when i play it i dont need the cd in the drive. Is this normal?

There were a lot of glitches in the game when i first installed it including

A.I Disabled
Node Graph Out Of Date
Sound Studdering
And
WORST OF ALL

The mouths DO NOT MOVE whatsoever, sound comes out but there jaws dont move at all. The expressons do show up but thats it. IS There a way to fix this???

I downloaded a patch for it. (The computer isn't internet enabled) and now all is fixed except for the mouth?

How do i get this fixed???

That front cover looks totally dodgy. It looks like it doesn't even fit the box totally.

Surely buying the game in a shop isn't that much more than you can get it on eBay for. Plus this is going to cost you more, since you'll need to buy the full game if you want everything to be fixed.

Why do you buy a russian version off ebay for 30 bucks, when you can get the original from a local store for ~40?!
 
the original is like 58$ ...some lucky guys bought the last copies from wallmart :S i hope they re-stock ...
and yes i am ashamed to say i still havent playeed it :'(

buying a game like this of off ebay is stupid tho ...really stupid.
lots of uncertainities with ebay .

btw : its kind of cool that source makes it hard to pirate games .

But seriosuly, never buy stuff that can be registered on Steam from Ebay. Oddly, my Counter-strike 1.6 CD-key was used but I can still play the game :)

Clarification. This is not a pirated version of HL2.
No, This is a pirated version of the ALPHA LEAK of HL2.
This came out way before HL2 was finished, and is just a few half finished levels throw together.
