no challenge....bad challenge

ok im curious....i start a dedicated server every so often. some people join and connect ok. but i notice every so often the console says something like "bad challenge" or "no challenge" or "old challenge" and then it displays an IP address. what does this mean? i suspect it means that the client is from a region that cant connect with me....but i dont know. any way i can fix this?

I don't think it really means anything. Some times when I'm starting a map with the console I see that message too. I don't think you need to worry about it.

I always chuckled when I saw that message... Like the game didn't want to start because the server I was about to join was full of nubs.
