No CS:S Beta for me :(

Well, seeing as the beta is released on the 10th, I'm not going to get anytime to play it. I'm heading out to Florida on the 9th for 2 weeks!!! So, I'm pretty gutted really - The main selling point for CZ was the beta, even if it is a decent game regardless. I thought it was going to be released on the 28th of July (or closer to it) as Gabe once said.

So, at best I can pre-load it onto my computer for a desperate hope that when I return I'll be able to play for an hour or so. :flame:

Anyway I think i saw somebody lives in Sarasota on these boards - I'm staying at Anna Maria Island if anyone knows the place.

Yeh erm about an hours drive from Tampa, I'm not sure if you've heard of the place - It's called Anna Maria Island - Not very big.

Anna Maria Island... from Tampa that's south on 75, west on 301, south across the Hernando Desoto Bridge, west on Manatee Ave across another bridge, and a little bit north... I think. I haven't been there in a while. I've been to several dozen different beaches that I can remember. So, I might be confusing them.

because its got poor ping compared to other servers, and the only regulars are people from HL2.net who own cs AND know about the server. It is only used when loads of HL2.net people get together on freinds.
