No ladder sound?

Hi, new user here.

I've just recently started playing with Hammer, and when trying to create a ladder, I've noticed I don't have a metal ladder sound when climbing. I've searched and found nothing, but I'm having a tough time believing no one else encountered this.

Building for CS:S.

Tried two methods. First made a brush with metalladder001a texture, and then put another brush in front with toolinvisibleladder texture, and tied that to func_ladder.

Then just tried making the first brush again, and just tieing that to func_ladder.

Neither worked. Both climb, but no sound. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

you coud always try using models, i know that doesn't answer your problem but...
or copy a brush made one from an other map an test that one.
