No Lawsuit?

60 YEARS?!

Christ... if I'm reading this right, he was convicted on the basis of the victim recalling him from a GLIMPSE, and NO forensic evidence? Even if he was guilty, that's a pretty ****ing bogus verdict...

I hope he gets lots of money from the government. 12 years, christ!

That made me feel warm and fuzzy inside

I think he is entitled to up for $70,000 for each year he was incarcerated.

Doesn't take back the injustice though. But the more I find out about lawyers the more I wonder. My wife talked to one guy who was a lawyer and asked how hard was it to defend someone you knew was guilty and he basically said he never finds out if he/she is guilty or not. Lawyers look at the facts of the case and try to win. With people like that not caring if the innocent go to jail because you want to win a case I don't know if the system can ever be truley just.

I feel sorry for him, such wasted time....hopefully he can find some way of being happy that he lost 12 years of his life.

I'm sure he's just happy to be out. When something like that happens, although you might not come out with the best memories, you just try and live on rather than dwelling on it. That seems to be the case for him, anyway. I was pretty impressed that he didn't seem to be holding a grudge against the justice system, even after all that time (some people might call it stubbornness, though :P).
