I'd like to bring a similar point up with a game that has the right idea, in Metal Gear Solid 3 in the first person view you see the actual 3rd person model for the arms and weapon (so in essense you are truly getting a first person view), when you reload a gun it is the exact same animation in first person as you see in 3rd person view.

Thief 3 and Riddick (albeit without a 3rd-person view, but the whole body was modelled) did that too.

You would only need legs in a jumping simulator.

The only reason we see arms in FPS, is because these are shooting games.

Y'know what, in my post earlier I meant Thief 3 too (or just 'Thief') ... i'd have been amazed if Thief 2 had had a fully modelled body :s hehe

Ray-man: no arms, no legs - what is it? :p

This thread made me spend over four seconds adding HDGR (High Dynamic Glasses Realism) to the game.

I think HDGR should be a must for those of you that want added realism.
