Woah, what a buzz!

Still havn't completed it though... :p

Myself and a fairly good group had five attempts at it in expert difficulty and it was amazingly fun every single time, even though we died, everyone choked the first time we played it and the chopper pilot said 15 minutes.. :p

This is such a big contender for GOTY so far, I hope the 360 version is just as good

The finalie is a real challenge, no matter what plan you use, things can go bad very quickly.

One time I thought we had it, so decided to heal up, only to get punched in the face by the second tank and thrown 30 stories to my death.

The auto-shotty is the bane of all Tanks.

I had to drop difficulty to make it alive after the 4th try. It's a really good challenge and really requires teamwork. During the last wave I was pinned with Francis, the only one alive with me, shooting everywhere, our back on a corner. When the helicopter arrived I had like 12 hp and he had like 5hp. When I got to the chopper I really felt like I survived something big. Best Game EVar

That's my fav part thus far.

Playing on advanced (I couldn't beat them on expert) Slaying dozens of zombies and thinking proudly, "I'm almost home free!" only to hear the copter pilot say "We'll be there in 15 minutes!"

...and then the second Tank.

I actually felt deflated and beat at that point (even though I did make it out with everyone alive).

The church scene when the guy starts ringing the bell is pretty good too.

No Mercy is the hardest out of all the Finale's.

The second being Blood Harvest in my opinion.

I'm playing the game in order, in essence. I'm going to finish No Mercy, then work from there. I REALLY need to beat No Mercy...it's so hard!

There isn't any order story-wise.

I know, but I don't want to be in the middle of all the campaigns. I want to finish and continue each.

man... i ****ing hate tanks on the finale so much, it just takes one hit for you to fly of the roof, second time its happened in 3 games.

3 friends and myself actually beat No Mercy on expert the night of release using a good strategy...

Once we cleared the roof and got to the radio, we healed and reloaded, then all four of us hid in the closet on the first floor of the barricade and someone triggered the horde

With 4 survivors in the closet we just sat there and hacked away at the horde as they came, boss infected too, until there was a prolonged pause- meaning the tank was coming

We all left the closet to kill the tank, usually one person ends up dying, and as soon as the tank was dead the 3 of us that were left ran back to the closet and repeated the 1st part until the second tank came

When the second tank comes another person usually dies leaving 2 survivors after the 2nd tank has been killed, these 2 remaining survivors run to the helicopter to get RESCUED! and there you have it

I beat No Mercy on advanced. We beat the countless waves of zombies. And two tanks.

Then the helicopter arrived on the far end of the roof. Apparently my other three teammates had played the map before as they were on the chopper the second it landed. I was still over by the mounted gun and my speakers were filled with the sounds of hundreds of screaming zombies that were about to appear from all directions.

I was down to 25 health so I wasn't running full speed.

I ran up the ramp to toward the chopper and turned around and saw hordes of zombies running at me full speed. I fired a few shots realizing there was no way that would help me so I continued to run backwards up the ramp melee'ing the zombies back with my gun.

My teammates were cheering my on over the mics- I made it to the top and jumped on the helicopter and we won the map with all 4 survived.

It was one of the best feelings I have ever had playing a game.

GOTY for me without hesitation.

Its a great game but I wouldn't say its a shoe in for GOTY. The only problem with it that I have is the lack of story progression.

I know they are going for a movie feel but an intro to each campaign would be nice. Instead of, oh we are on a helicopter, oh now we are on a road in the middle of nowhere.

Ennui, Zombie, OCybrManO and I just played on No Mercy. CybrMan and I were trying to get the pistols only achievement and was playing on easy until Ennui and Zombie joined. They wanted to play on advanced, so we did on the finale. CybrMan and I were still using pistols and destroying the horde while Ennui and Zombie did the same with shotguns and rifles during which we set up a defense in the stairwell. Ennui was at the bottom of the stairs, CybrMan was at the top, I was switching between both to help when necessary and Zombie was on top of the stairwell outside. When tanks came we scattered to the other building and killed them, after which running back to our spot to hold out. When the chopper finally arrived we made a mad dash for it to which Ennui barely made it inside because of the fact that zombies were practically smelling his ass, they were so close.

One of the best games that I played so far. :D

Picking it up now. Wanna have a few rounds with you lovely bastards :D

Agree with the first bit, but I'd put Death Toll as 2nd as like No Mercy it's a long walk to the rescue point, assuming you defend from the house. Although diving out the back into the water and paddling along the shore gives you a bit of an edge as you only have to worry about attack from one direction and saving a pipe bomb for the dash reduces the threat.

Blood Harvest (finale) is pretty easy by comparison as although there's no minigun or handy stash of grenades defending the farmhouse from upstairs is usually successful. And when the APC arrives you just head out the window onto the veranda roof and the vehicle is just a jump away. Your chances of getting incapped by a hunter or smoker are pretty small, unlike No Mercy where someone will usually get snagged.

In No Mercy, I usually find it successful to kill the tank as close to the helicopter pad as possible. That way, by the time any bosses show up, you're on the chopper.

Death Toll's finale was so freaking easy. I never even had to worry about dying or anything. I didn't really even struggle to make it to the boat.

When i reached that finale we got three tanks, four boomers, four hunters, and two horde wave after which i was thrown up and eploded on twice. I survived though

I was a soul survivor on No Mercy when the helicopter came in. As I was running up the ramp a hunter pounced me from behind, but luckily a tank punched it into the wall, but by the time I could recover I was stomped to death by regulars.

No mercy is the only campaign I haven't escaped from and many players have agreed with me that its actually the hardest finale, especially as you have to avoid falling off (AKA punched off)

I've completed it more often than the other finales. I don't see the big deal.
