Hello, my names Jeff, I love Half Life, but at the same time I love Zombie films, so I downloaded Garrys mod and well inspiration hit me like a ton of bricks, infact im surprised it hasn't been done before, a zombie comic using Garrys mod. Here's the story, in the northern part of the United States as in all zombie films an outbreak happens, as to why, well that has yet to be discovered by you. The comic will follow a few non zombie survivors as the main characters however there will be many other characters like police and tons of civilians to get eaten alive.

Cast of Characters

Barney Calhoun = Dean Blair: Currently the chief of police for the city, after watching his squad fall victim to the attacks he becomes a loner wandering the city searching for answers.

Alyx = Jessica Molko: A 17 year old girl who was caught in one of the heaviest areas of the infestation, unarmed and alone she searches wherever she can for help.

Father Gregory & Judith Mosmann = Jimmy ? and Alisha Harve: After watching her husband be bitten and after escaping the zombie mass, she is forced to kill him when he turns, only to be befriended by a somewhat mentally retarded man *father gregory* and his imaginary friend TeeCee who will be played by a Vortigant.

Dr. Kliener = Dr. Sam Hellsworth: Your standard mad scientist, it is speculated that he is responsible for creating whatever fuels the undead, however he does nothing but endlessly try to stop the madness.

G-Man = James Moz: A high class lawyer who seems to be more than meets the eye, a man on a mission of god knows what, just runs through masses of zombies kicking ass and cracking skulls with a brief case and a revolver.

Civil Protection = State Police: Pretty much a run of the mill police force wearing gas masks as protection from the virus, however they are pretty much out numbered and obliterated with the exception of a few.

Combine Soldier = Government Clean Up Crews: Armed to the teeth and on a misson to wipe out EVERYONE and EVERYTHING in that city, they've closed all exists so there is no getting aorund them.

O.K. that's all I've thought up for now, I've been doing alot fo work getting familiar with garrys mod and have created a few screen shots to give you as a teaser and demo. I hope to have the first strip fully done in the next two weeks with weekly updates after that. I'm always open to suggestions, thing you want to see, and characters you would like added, but keep in mind I am in the process of becoming a profesional writer so the story wont suddenly turn silly because someone says "make the zombies hump." i want you all to be as excited about this as I am to make it, and I can't wait to share my work. Leave some feedback.

Good ideas, but the use of Garry mod freezing NPCs has been done to death, and we are starting to get bored with the whole thing. The interesting poses thread is about 40 pages or so of this kind of thing. There has been many stories/comics made on various characters, zombies has also been done. However if you feel you can bring something new to this field then we eagerly await your work. Good luck with it.

Imaginary Vort. LOL.
Sounds good.

(use "impulse 200" to put away your gun and "cl_drawhud 0" to get rid of your hud)

Agreed with Hectic Glenn, its all been overdone so much its a tad boring now.

At least you could've used a different level :P So it doesn't get too boring :(

Thanks for the input, especially riomhaire about how to get rid of the hud and my weapon. As far as the idea being boring I assure you this will be rather different than any of the comics previously made, by having a very intense sotry line and a strong attachment to characters. I mean for god sakes there is a retarded man stuck in a zombie city with an imaginary friend. But yes thank you all for the input, hopefully your attitudes with perk up a bit when you see the first page of finished work.

Jeff
