Can you tell me whay my proc has no name(under specification) and in bios? and this is before and after i overclocked it.
see on pic
Thx.

So it doesn't know what CPU type it is to fill in that field. Big deal.
You know it's a Mobile Athlon XP-M Barton Core CPU....

yea really, since your not losing any performance it doesnt matter does it haha

its not real. its warez. That means u get no support and not as good perofrmance. And a short[er] life

i think you dont have to post if you have no info on my question.THANX
yes i KNOW i have AthlonM.

ok then can you explain me what is warez ver CPU  ?

dont worry about it, my mobile athlon(and most others)shows up the same.

Sorry to break both of your bubbles but that is most deffinately NOT supposed to happen. AMD cpus wouldnt show up like that. I am totally aware that other peopel have this problem but it is not supposed to happen. AMD says that their CPUs would not show up like that.

As i said before, its no big deal, only you dont get full warrenty.

EDIT: w00t! 666 posts, put the numbers any way and its still the saem! and its the devil's number!! :flame:  :flame:   :flame:  :flame:

wrong wrong and wrong again... Its a real AMD CPU and Mobile AMD CPU's quite often dont show up in CPUID as they were designed for laptops and not desktop motherboards. The motherboards BIOS will probably not quite recognise the CPU which can in some cases be fixed with a BIOS update. If you dont want to flash your BIOS then it doesnt really matter as the CPU is working fine.

I didn't realy want to take your post for real!
But what do you think, little kidz in the kitchen build my CPU looking at blouprints of amd, you realy make me

Can somebody tell me how do i update my bios, and i dont have a flopy or usb keys. thinking bootcd, but i never build one.
Thx.

you cant. You need a floppy. I don t think u can do it w/ cds.

As for my other post, if you are running it on a laptop then my post is right. If it is on desktop then my post is wrong. Im just thinking why you would run it on desktop...

you can do it with a CD if your motherboard supports it. And mobile baretons are rather popular on desktop computers as they overclock really well and they even have thier multiplier unlocked...

Yeah, I have the same CPU as you. Mobile Barton 2500+. Tons of people on www.ocforums.com have these.. they are great overclocking chips. Nice overclock btw :D
Seriously.. I have never even heard of counterfit bartons, and even if they existed, I doubt they would be of high quality and hence overclock well..

I did install a modded BIOS on my abit nf7-s.. and it gives it the cpu the correct label.. but it's definately not worth it just the get the label.
