No New Videos For GTA?

Did I miss something or did Rockstar really not release anything new for E3? Not even screenshots? What a crock of shit. :flame:

I say we all don't buy the game because of this, who's with me?

I just...acquired GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas and played them all for the first time, and I have to say, the original GTA III is LOADS better than its sequels. Sure, VC and SA added more features, but the environments and charachters were so uninteresting!

Yeah, but their lack of hype-inducing screenies and vids makes me annoyed. Of course, it makes the game that much more exciting upon release since no one has seen really anything!!

Yeah, there have been descriptions of it online though and its like 5 minutes long and he gets in a car and then drives to the docks or something. Not too exciting really. They also said that since they released their 2 videos relatively recently that too much more too soon would be ridiculous.

(Of course, I am of the mindset of the Little Big Planet developers who show like everything to the public for feedback and to generate excitement and create a community. This is sadly an anomaly in game development these days.)

Especially the character in GTA III was very deep and complex. He would get along with Gordon Freeman well. :>

Why don't you... buy'em? They're not that much, Rockstar is still alive so there's not really any excuse for "...acquiring" them by other means.

I don't think they are ever big about showing things off at E3. They do have a 3rd video to release yet. Who knows when but E3 would have been really too close to when the 2nd one came out.

Never played GTA III, but I want to. Vice city is the best so far. San Andreas is good but I hate Los Santos. I also hate those missions where you travel from one city to the other and it takes soooo long, glad there aren't many. Also, learning to fly in SA is one of the most frustrating things I have ever done.

No, what I mean is, the atmosphere of III was so much better than VC or SA. I loved the big city, radio, the styling of the cars. I hated VC because all the buildings were small, the ocean was ugly, the cars were ugly, the music sucked, the clothing sucked. Hell, if it weren't set in the 80's that would have all been fixed. SA was much better than VC, and it greatly improved the formula by allowing lock-on targeting. I also loved the fact that it was set in the 90s. But I hated the gang nonsense. And again I don't like the suburban atmosphere of the whole thing.

See, i hated the grey weirdness of Liberty, and loved the 80s tang of Vice City. I'm strange like that.

I thought GTA3 was average for style. VC was awesome. A lot of hours put into VC just cruising with music or randomly starting trouble. So your not strange.
But I like the detail of the new GTA4.
