Ok, I did damned near everything to fix the desktop crash, and another friend was having the memory error. I messed with the registry, etc ... and still, even after redownloading the cache it would not work. I tried the steps here: FIX

And now it is up and running. No idea why after multple trys with the redownloading the cache that this worked, but it did, and I don't really care why ... that desktop crash was driving me nuts. I ran the stress test, got 78 FPS average.

I'm just happy I got this game up and running ... lost a lot of sleep last night staying up to try and fix it.
