I had the same problem, turned out it was my shitty dying DVD drive. Try it on another computer and see if it works If it does, just swap DVD drives for a bit.

I had the same trouble with my DVD drive, went out and bought a new one, works fine now.

w00t! i installed it, but my hand hurts from ripping the DVD drive out of another computer, and putting it in a tiny one.

I feel so happy now.
