I cannot enable "Norton internet security". The program says I need to be a supervisor. I don't know what the heck, because it was all fine just yesterday. I tried to enable it from the administrator's account but still supervisor blahblah. I cannot even uninstall it because I need to be a supervisor! (WTF? I want this thing outta my computer). My copy is legit, came with my mobo software and worked fine before, so I totally don't know what's going on. Anyone can help me? TIA

log off and try selecting a other Username with more rights

It's teh 2002 version so logging on and off depends on the windows log in

use the add/remove programs from control panel perhaps, if not i suppose you could just delete the folder but thats messy. Btw wrong forum

Software firewalls make baby Jesus cry.

To solve your problem though, the "supervisor" account isn't a part of Windows. Norton Internet Security keeps accounts of its own. What you have to do is start NIS, go to User Accounts, and log in. If it doesn't allow you to uninstall after that, then that means your account isn't a supervisor account. What you have to do now is log out, then log in with the username of Supervisor, hopefully there won't be a password.
