North Korea ICBM launch imminent

Does no one else find it funny that its called taepodong... We're bout' to get shafted fellerz! :bonce:

anyone saw that cartoon strip with the dogs taking cover? It goes something like this:

First square, shows a town being nuked and the background the whole world is being nuked, and you can see a bit underground a tunnel that leads from a dog house to a little underground chamber where 4 dogs hide. The big dogs say "Ok my fellow friends, new times are to come, no more "catch dog, catch", no more "bad dog, bad dog", this is our time, it is the dogs time to come! We must adapt to the new world! HAIL"

so funny if you actually read the cartoon strip itself :D

You could set off a nuke in australia and no-one would notice.

I was just reading something about how in a rather deserted part of Australia around 1997 there were reports of a bright flash of light by several truckers and of large vibrations by several campers. Plus a whole lot of seismometers in the Pacific region all of a sudden jumped at the same time. Oddly it seems it was never really even carried by the Australian news and just got a small blurb in the New York Times. I've also never come across an answer to what it was.

What happens in SC3? I've never played it. (Banned in Korea)

Any single launch of an ICBM is a futile gesture. There have been counter measures since the cold war that can destroy the missile before it reaches it's destination.

Only a masive attacks of multiple ICBM's are guarenteed successful strikes.

Err.. it is?
I mean, in SCCT it's a Japanese general whom hacks into NKs missile controls and launches a NK ballistic missile into an american ship and starts a war between the NK and the US..

I don't know if Tom Clancy wrote Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, but I do know that Tom Clancy is from the USA.

Also, Razaair, you ought to thump him.

Headquarters of People's Fair and Constitutionally supervised under the glorious eternal lordship of Kim Il-Sung Information Bureau of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea located in Pyeongyang. The building is sheathed in a Concret dura-steel shield to prevent being damaged from missiles launched by American-controlled South Korean puppets.

Well the one thing is certain. South Korea is reasonably safe due to the fact it would be a waste to use an Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile on your next door neighbours.

Now Japan and the US, they really got something to worry about.

Japan is almost as close to North Korea as South Korea is. lol

It's the North Korean national anthem, the Aegukka, not to be confused with the South Korean national anthem, the Aegukga.:p:LOL:

Why stop there? Could do a Pan-American tour.

All we need now is for Jim Jong Il to wear a reflective mask, wear blue, and talk with a screechy voice.

Cause for all intents and purposes he seems just as batshit crazy as cobra commander

ya bryeakin ma balls here!

I'm pretty sure Tom Clancy had little to do with Spinter Cell's story, although I believe he helped create the original concept.

I'm currently about 2/3 of the way through The Sum of All Fears so far, it's much, much better than the movie.

I am a prime target, so I hope their aim isn't so hot.

I also hope our anti-ICBM missiles are working. :S

Geogaddi, if you like Tom Clancy, make sure to read Red Storm Rising.:)

I already have, awesome book. I like how it's seperate from the regular universe too.

So far, I've read all of them but Debt of Honor, Executive Orders, and The Bear and the Dragon

I've only red Red Storm Rising, Rainbow Six, The Cardinal of the Kremlin.:)
They're all pretty damn good books imo.
It's too bad I'm so slow at reading such literature in books, I need to find some eBooks of'em or such, that'd make me be able to read through'em alot quicker..

The people appear to be brainwashed for the most part, but I've got to believe that the leadership at least knows that they'll get their asses handed to them if they try something with a frickin' nuke. Seriously, even if they screw up and it plunks harmlessly into the ocean, this would mark open season for whomever to go in and I don't think too many other nations would object.

Anyway, did anyone mention that the ICBM is being fueled, and it may be launched on today evening (USA's morning)?

You know what we should do.... CIA!!!! Go in there and sabotage the whole thing muahhahahaa... or

Laugh an ICBM right at theres right before it is fueled up...then just say

"It wasn't us...ur ICBM must have just caught on fire"!!

MUAHHAHAHAH lol im so bored.

NK is not so stupid that would provoke a war. If NK goes crazy, China is not so stupid to follow. Even China goes mad, Russia wouldn't follow. Even if Russia goes insane, well...
Rest, my child. I think no worse of thee.
