Yo guys, my PC has stopped bootinh up, i press the power button, the lights for the drives turn on, but nothing else happens-nothing. It had been running fine for the three months before this but the other day everything froze during CS:S, the same happened two days in a row before it stopped booting up.

P4 3.2 Ghz
1 Gb RAM
Radeon X600 Pro

I've moved back to my crappy old computer and really am stuck. Looked inside the box but nothing seemed wrong arrgh!

Nothing happens? No fans?

Lights come on - but no fans?

Sounds like your PSU has died.

No fans nope

Luckily the PC is still under guarantee so am trying to get hold of the place i ordered from-nethighstreet, will try and get them to fix it as i dont want to splash the cash when i dont need to.

Just no quick fix ideas then?

If the PSU died, which it sounds like, there's not really a quick fix, it would have to be replaced I guess. But if a part in your PC died while it's still under guarantee don't they have to replace it for you free of charge?

Yeah, called nethighstreet and they will collect the PC and repair it for free, so hopefully i'll have a my PC back in a week or two

Yep, there is no quick fix, much cheaper to replace the PSU than bothering to try and fix it :)
