Also I don't think it'll catch on. Maybe it's me, but I really really want to have fun with Minecraft but I always get pretty bored with it.

One of the best things about it being PC based is that you can mod it and f*ck with it in a customisable way. What're we supposed to buy texture packs with Microsoft Points from LIVE Market Place now or something?

Screw that. I don't see the angle really.

What do you mean 'exclusive'? As in: X360 is the only console that will have Minecraft? It's still going to be on the PC as well, right?

If so, then I don't understand the people yelling "betrayal! :):):)".

I'm the exact same. I've tried to get into it but it's just not interesting, like at all. A big, blurry eyesore.

'Console-exclusive', so the Xbox is indeed the only console that will have Minecraft. I don't get the nerd rage either.
 
I remember reading something when I purchased alpha saying that I get all future minecraft content for free.. would this fall under that?

Doubtful, if devs were serious about that kind of thing I would have M&B Warband free.
 
Im not bothered with mods, I like to play games stock, so I would play Minecraft on my Xbox. Also, my windows laptop is a bit underpowered so I have to play it on low details. Im sure it would look prettier for me at least to run it on Xbox, hopefully ill have access to it without paying anything else.

I thought that tweet from PC Gamer was a bit odd (about betrayal) seeing a it says "via Twitter for Mac" underneath it.
 
Xbox Minecraft and Phone Minecraft (yes phone) will be separate games designed with those platforms in mind, not just a conversion of the PC version. Notch will be overseeing them but not doing any programming for them. It's up on his blog.

I just can't picture ever playing it on a console, the hours you'd have to put into getting anything done is enough to play it on a PC alone.
 
Which is probably why the console version will be designed specifically for that platform, as was mentioned directly above your last post.
 
Doesn't mean I can't still wonder how the hell it could possibly be playable on a console.

I don't see what the problem would be. Really you only use movement keys and the two mouse buttons most of the time. The only thing that would be shitty is making bridges which is hard enough on PC. I assume they would have to make it harder to fall off on the console version.
