Noticed in HL1 ...

that there's a picture of what one would assume is Gordans child (daughter?) in his locker. Wonder if his wife and/or kid will play any kind of a role in the HL2 storyline.

Replaying HL1 for the umpteenth time to hold me over!

Gordon had a wife in early incarnations of HL1. however I expect the picture of a child in the locker is just a little touch from the mapper.

He has no children and isn't married: That's what it says in the letter in the manual. One assumes that's a little Easter Egg - probably a relative of Valve's or something. So perhaps is supposed to be Gordon's niece? Who knows.

you meet with some security guards. and your in a room with portraits of gordon.. and a cabinet is knocked over and inside one of the open drawers is a picture of some girl...

Yes Op4. The pic of Gordon was "Employee of the Month" Arf.
And the little girls were, presumably, the daughters of a member of Gearbox.

The holograph woman in the tutorial of HL1 kinda looks like Alyx.

also in op4 in the exact same spot as the employee of the month pic.. if you look inside the drawer of the overturned filing cabinet you see another framed family pic...

it's sitting up perfectly.. obviously put their as a "family type" easter egg by one of the developers.

It's possible, since he supposedly wakes up in HL2 from where we left him in HL1, so he could have "time-traveled" or been put to sleep for all that time, but theres also the fact that the aging scientists kinda look not that much older. And neither does Barney. So forget I said anything......
