Best gaming event for L4D yet! They are really advertising the game now, and are just sprinting towards that finish line! Just watch the videos and like go crazy! Don't forget though all the gaming events this Summer which I'm very sure the public and footage of the Infected side will come out:

Dude playing was a ****ing jackass. Totally ignored his team.

Holy hell that guy sucks! Hahaha he must not know what the red arrows mean. He was getting attacked by like 20 zombies from the back and he didn't turn around untill he could see the zombie itself. Holy damn.

Wow, why is it that the guys playing always completely suck at the game? They guy on the chaingun just sits there and lets his teammate die, and somehow the guy in the last video fails to notice 20 zombies killing him from behind for like 10 seconds. I hope most people are a bit smarter when they play this game.

But I can't wait! November 4th!

has the release date been brought foward a bit? I thought it was November 18.

I hope the Witch is harder to kill then it was in the video

They look like they were mostly on Normal difficulty, since the regular zombie attacks were only doing about 3ish damage each.

Normal is for sissies. I for one will start out on the hardest and have fun dying :p

Yay, a solid release date. Watch as it is released either ridiculously early or late in the day.

Hmm, it looks like VALVe is finally updating the fire effects. Good news, will probably be in EP3 as well.

EDIT: This is in the Source engine, right?

This is all actually from an event called EA3. Now I thought "wtf is EA3" and then I looked up on it and it's another EA event, the third one, and it's in the USA, not in the UK. :| Anyways there are 3 new videos. This one shows off the Boomer:

This one shows the witch turning a kitchen into a scene like F.E.A.R.: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/19578
This one is the best and it's the finale footage. Basically guy lights a tank on fire and it looks like a movie. Enjoy: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/19580
Now you may be thinking right now as did I that those HUD tips are annoying. Well 1UP has said:
that the help icons and messages are only for new players and will therefore go away after awhile.

Gamespy was blown away by the visuals (beat that Crytek): http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/turtle-rock-project/883530p1.html
Kotaku also wrote an article: http://kotaku.com/5018909/left-4-dead-impressions-sloppy-seconds
Expect more videos from the event and as always, a podcast.

Man, I love the idea of the dynamic music. It worked so well when the witch appeared, and when the girl survivor gets dragged backwards by the Smokers tongue.

There needs to be a HL2.net L4D group. And the dyanamic music is quite phenomenal. It seems so scripted the way it plays out.

Looks better and better, cannot wait for this.

November is going to be insanely amazing lol: Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty 5, and Gears of War 2.

Doubting whether I should get this for PC or Xbox. With the Xbox, I can play splitscreen, but I'll probably miss out on updates and new maps. With the PC, no splitscreen but a far superior multiplayer experience (PC online gaming >>>>>>>>>>>>> Xbox Live), however I currently only have a laptop (runs TF2 OKish) and probably not what it will take to run the game.

Ohhh... Fire.... One thing is: Will the fire kill my pooter? My computer lags like crazy in that scene with d0G and the Strider, just because of the fire... I hope I fare better with this.

that's unlikely. there's more AI hogging your resources in Left 4 Dead as well.

Wow, the players sucked. Looks awesome thou. What about playstation?

AI actually takes very little power. The needs of AI are terribly exaggerated by industry members. Either way, I can run smooth on Gmod with a crapload of hunters running around.

well in that case you'll probably be able to run it well...unless you play with someone who really likes molotov cocktails.

What about Playstation?

Probably not happening.

Valve is a PC / 360 developer (Gabe is very anti-PS3). So Valve will not be making a version for it. EA as their publisher can decide to make a PS3 version if they wish, but with the way The Orange Box was on the PS3, I'm not sure if that's very likely.

I'm sure they said somewhere that if L4D did well on the PC and Xbox then they would get someone to do a PS3 version.

I'm sure they said somewhere that if L4D did well on the PC and Xbox then they would get someone to do a PS3 version.

It's still a big 'if' though. Plus, if they do it, Valve won't be the ones making it, so it will probably be a team at EA again, and they did a pretty piss-poor job of The Orange Box (you can look up videos comparing Valve's 360 version to the PS3 version and there is quite a difference).

Plus, the best reason to get it for the PC is that they can update it how often they want, with as much content as they want. There are restrictions in what they can do on the 360, and I'm sure similar things for the PS3. Plus they need to deal with certification and such, which is just extra money.

Look at TF2 for example. The PC has gotten two extra content packs (Medic and Pyro) and the 360 or PS3 version hasn't gotten any of them. The PS3 version got even more of a shaft and hasn't received any big TF2 patches, whereas the 360 version at least got a major balancing patch (a roll-up of a bunch of PC fixes for TF2).

So yeah, moral of the story = Buy L4D for PC.

Good thing I have the PC only. Won't have te choice problem.

Anyone noticed that reviving still looks wierd? One guy is helping the other get up, but he's not touching him.

That was some awful playing by whoever those people were in the videos.

The guy with the shotgun would run around with only 1 or 2 shells in his gun which meant that when the zombies showed up, he was completely ineffective and having to reload after every shot.
