When will they implement this technology into HL2 that wev've been playing for almost a year? Would be neat to see it as we play through agian before aftermath.

i was dreaming yesterday, that i was playing css with HDR. wieird ain't it?

Not really, Valve already stated that they are going to remake the CS: Source maps one by one with HDR.

HL2 will also be remade with HDR for a part.

I'm sure they said that it was a major job re-coding everything for HDR, in the Lost Coast commentary? If that is the case, I doubt it would be viable for them to implement it throughout the entire HL2 SP game.

they said they will remake parts of HL2 SP , cuz some parts looks good without the HDR

Even though it was a fairly large update, it would also have been an update seperate from the game code controlling Source and HL2.

Gabe has also said that it would take one artist about a hundred days to upgrade all of the artwork for HDR, so it may happen someday, but it may not be until AM is complete, since I imagine the artists are focusing purely on that.

Maybe a mod to make HL2-HDR but I'd prefer Valve to be working on HL3 than re-doing all the levels from HL2.

Well, possibly it could be a 3rd party project, if anyone was dedicated and skilled enough to do it. I can't see it happening either way soon anyway. I agree with ríomhaire, in that they should only be working on new material.
