I personally loved the first MGS, but thought the 2nd was terribly overrated. Haven't tried the third yet.

Overrated, A lot of people hated it and gave it worse grades than the first, if mgs2 was a movie or a book it would have been a classiek, but not in the gameindustry, there poeple like the Powerranger style of MGS TTS,
Oh and the thing about the game beeing to much like it's predecessor, oh thats just hilarious, these poeple are the same that though Splinter cell 2 was very original or give every fifa the same grade as mgs2. No my friend, the only thing that was wrong with mgs2 is that it sold about 1 million more copies than the first, and when those million poeple bought it and realized that there was no Italian plumer jumping but a girly looking guy around they had a hart attack. http://www.lotusreaver.com/articles/index.php?section=raiden_vs_gamer

Oh and though I would also have chosen mgs3, there is nothing wrong with hal2( imean I personally don't like it, but that is just taste), anyways it has a larger fanbase than mg3 and more people to vote for it.
